Comrex ACCESS NX Rack Is Now Shipping
New rackmount IP audio codec is AES67 compatible
DEVENS, MA, August 12th, 2019 — Comrex is now shipping the newest addition to their industry-leading ACCESS IP audio codec line, ACCESS NX Rack.
Since it was released in 2005, the Comrex ACCESS Rackmount has become an industry standard. Now, it’s been updated to incorporate the technical advances from the last decade. ACCESS NX Rack includes AES3 or analog audio I/O, along with AES67 compatibility. AES67 tested to be compatible with all major AoIP systems. It also features an entirely new hardware platform.
ACCESS NX Rack can connect to Wi-fi and 4G modems, and supports a wide arrange of connection protocols and audio encoders. It’s driven via a new HTML5-based web user interface that is easy to use. ACCESS NX Rack is also compatible with all Comrex IP audio codecs as well as the Comrex FieldTap smartphone app.
ACCESS NX Rack comes with Switchboard. Switchboard Traversal Server was created to make it easy to make connections between Comrex IP codecs.
ACCESS NX Rack is built around Comrex CrossLock technology, the industry’s best reliability layer. CrossLock features a proprietary suite of tools that solidify connections over IP networks, including forward error correction, ARQ, and an adaptive management engine.
ACCESS NX Rack also includes HotSwap, which allows users to designate a wireless network as a backup that will only engage when the primary network has failed.
